What is Pilates?

Mat Pilates involves performing Pilates exercises on the floor using a mat. Mat Pilates exercises are performed in a slow, controlled, precise manner. You have probably heard about having a strong core, these exercises help strengthen the body’s core by developing pelvic and scapula stability, and abdominal control, using focused breathing patterns. The main fitness goals of a mat Pilates class is improved flexibility, muscle tone, body balance, spinal support, low back health, sports performance, and body-mind awareness.

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a form of exercise that focuses on creating strength and flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. The postures in yoga will allow you to soften and stretch your body. Our yoga class will, bring calming and balance the mind and body, increase mobility in the body, especially the joints and hips, lower stress levels (no one needs that), give you more flexibility in joints & connective tissue and release the fascia throughout the body.
