Plantar Fascia Pain
Treatment of plantar fascia pain involves a thorough history to identify any training faults or overload issues that require address in the plantar fascia is a thick band of connective tissue that runs from the underside of the calcaneus (heel bone) and divides into five sections connecting to each of the toes. The function of the plantar fascia is to support the arch of the foot and enable efficient weight bearing movement via the use of the windlass mechanism. Whereby the plantar fascia becomes tensioned and acts as a rigid lever cable assisting in propulsion.
